Calin Costian is a telecom and IT executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in strategic pricing, presales enablement, commercial marketing, engineering, and operations. His primary field of focus is sales cycle acceleration and revenue and profit optimization for global enterprises.
Calin has worked for Hewlett Packard (where he had product strategy and pricing responsibilities for a $3.2b business segment), EDS, Nortel and Mavenir, holding roles of increasing responsibility on both the technical and business sides of the telecom and IT industries.
A native of Romania, he holds advanced degrees in Mathematics (University of Bucharest, where he was president of the student body) and Computer Sciences (Purdue University, where he was a Purdue Research Foundation Fellow funded by the National Science Foundation). He has authored numerous articles across a broad spectrum of topics from business to mathematics and computer sciences, and has served on the boards of several American, European, and global non-profit organizations. In addition, he is a published writer, poet, award-winning filmmaker, Level 2 archery instructor, and is involved in charities benefiting children, the arts, and promoting wellbeing through the practice of meditation.
He served as Chairman and President of CEL International between 2011-2020.
