Thava Govender was an HR Executive at Volkswagen SA and New Africa Capital post Apartheid (BEE partner in the financial industry specialization in Mergers and Acquisitions in SA) before moving on into consulting as Executive Director and chief managing agent of a human, organization, social development consultancy called The Ripple Effect. Currently, she is Principal Managing Partner at The Sacrum Institute Pty. Ltd.
She has 35 years of corporate experience in human and organizational development. Thava served on various company advisory boards and lectures part-time at two business schools. She is an internationally accredited process facilitator and master coach (ICF). She has operated as a global consultant for the past 20 years across various cultures. Thava was in the design and facilitation team of the CWPR,UNPD eco-agricultural summits, Lead facilitator – Goldin Institute (Reconciliation between India and Pakistan), Packard Foundation (Knowledge Management summit, Reproductive and Child Health Care in Lucknow) and WIL (Women in Leadership) in Bangalore. She received recognition and Awards for excellence in her field of work viz. Hind Rattan Award 2008, and Navarattan Award 2013.
As an Economist, Transformational Development Strategist and Futurist, her educational journey has kept her mindful to the unfolding possibilities of human engagement in co-creating a sustainable futures future for all through participation and engagement.
